Agony?!

Our judgment and assessment of things have been through a lot of changes. It is so weird that we used to view things with our emotions and preferences during adolescence disregarding religious and social values, and the consequences of our actions. Our judgment was based on self-fulfillment, pleasure, selfish achievements and interests, and definitely achieving popularity.

As grown-ups, it is completely different. The judgment and assessment of things are much aware of religious and social values, and most importantly, the awareness comes from the inside in most instances. It does not aim at achieving personal goals or popularity.It is much wiser and self-conscious of what should be said and done, not of what is liked or preferred.

That is why we feel in agony with ourselves in order to find what we really are, and at the same time not to be judged by the others and violate any religious or social rules. Should we express our inner thought, orientations, and tendencies? Or should we just follow what our values tell us to do?

Do We Really Have To?!

Do we have to rage when the world doesn't always be the way we want it to be? Do we have to submit people according to our wishes and hopes?
Do we have to step on the others just because we are the offspring of an infamous dynasty?
Do we have to force the others to understand our circumstances and excuse us for our wrong and seemingly unforgiven behavior?
Do we have to forgive those who hurt us and degraded us for nothing just because they were having a bad day?
Do we have to forgive those who have been once our best friends then it turns out that they are just hanging out for fun or for their own interests?
Do we have to forgive them and become their friends again?

The Truth Behind The Mask

I have always sugar-coated the truth about other people. I have never thought that the others can be mean, manipulative, or exploitive, or even so selfish. Yet, these types have shown the worst of me. They make me treat them in the very same way, and sometimes, it gets ugly that I turn to be the bad person.

I Need A Break!

To break my plans, my work, my enthusiasm, my spirit, my words and even my head...
What's the use of having a breaktime in the midest of a continuous stream of work since it'll be resumed within just seconds?

Light and Darkness

Darkness and light are two concepts that clash and meet at the same time. The combination of the two are considered a form of hypocrisy or schizophrenia that many people enjoy.
Darkness isn't always a negative concept. It is vague and misunderstood.
Light isn't always positive. It is overestimated and adorned.
Both exist within the soul. Yet one can overcome the other, as in the fight between good and evil.

Matter of Growth

As we grow, the mind would grow; the body would grow; the heart would grow; awareness of the world would grow; worries would grow; concerns would grow; responsibility would grow; social life would grow; loneliness would grow; lack of interest in life would grow; lack of desire of learning would grow; lack of desire of living would grow; the desire of death would grow.

Ultimate Happiness

The concept of happiness seems nonexistent. It could be a synonym of money; it could be a synonym of beauty & grace; it could be a synonym of foods & drinks; it could be a synonym of love & passion; it could be a synonym of possession & control, it could be a synonym of luxurious living; it could be a synonym of deep slumber and restful nights.

It could be in the smiles of children; it could be in the tears of success; it could be in helping the others.

But the ultimate happiness is to find peace of mind.
Happiness is way too far from being realized.

Tomorrow is the first day of the twelfth month (Dhu al-Hijjah)of the Hijri (Islamic)Calendar, which means that Hajj (Pilgrimage)season has just begun. In this time of the year, some Muslims prepare to perform the last pillar of Islam. They go to Makkah (the Holy Land) to visit Kaabah and ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy. It is a journey to purify the soul, the heart and the mind...
The eighth day of this month is know as Mina day. The ninth day of this month is known as Arafah day where all pilgrims spend the day on the Mount Arafat from dawn to sunset. The tenth day is the Adha Eid (the Greater Barium)where Muslims sacrifice sheep to Allah and to celebrate what He has given us.

Finally! The President Is Elected!

It was a real surprise! And a real shock! Being elected as the first Black-American president in the US history, Obama's election is considered a victorious win and a change in course of history.
True, no one would ever believe that the American people would vote for an African-American to be throned the leader of the United States, and hence, the world. However, this may imply many indications:
The failure of and distrust in the Republican Party's policies obviously-represented in the former US President Bush Policy, that demonstrated power by waging useless wars against weak and defenseless countries.
The US changed its viewpoint when they elected someone whom they used to think is different, less and unqualified to be their president.
It also implies the "world's" desire for change and looking at things from a different viewpoint by a "person" who used to be looked at as different, and the desire that person would achieve their hopes and dreams.

Let's all hope in this new era of world history would be the end of wars everywhere, and an era of new beginnings to live, globally, together in peace and harmony.

Trick or Treat?!

It's supposed to be a childish scary way of begging for candy and also a tradition to celebrate this particular holiday.Thye knock the doors of the neighbours' houses and "Trick-or-Treat" them, i.e. asking for candies.
Well, for us Muslims, we have the very same tradition, yet it occurs in the Holy Month of Ramadan where children stroll around the neighbourhood moving from one house to another for candy. This tradition is called (Gergai'an -قرقيعان OR Khesher- خشر). It is a friendly way to celebrate the coming of Ramadan.

Presidential Elections 2008

The Presidential Elections 2008 are still running between Obama and McCain. Who will win? God knows! But they sure reflect their future policies. Well, Obama walks gracefully while McCain looks awkwardly confused!
